Sandy, Jonathan and myself decided to go to a few cemeteries on a lovely Sunday afternoon. It was pretty and sunny, but the wind interferred on occasion when trying to record. We went to a very small African-American cemetery near where Sandy and Jonathan live. It is the place where Jonathan got the orb behind the chain-linked fence, (on the Pics page.) What better place to start?

We took pictures there but it was too windy for EVP's, so on we went to another small cemetery where we continued to take pictures and record. We weren’t having much luck in the EVP department until we got the Presbyterian Cemetery in Lynchburg. There is where Jonathan recorded a one word EVP… the word “Shield” (listed in the EVP section) We will be headed back to that area in hopes of finding a family name of Shield or possibly getting another EVP from the area.

We went to the Old City cemetery here in Lynchburg. There is a small medical museum named the Pest House located there. It is the house of pestilance that housed the sick around the time of the Civil War. This is where a few years ago, my step-daughter Pam recorded a voice asking for water. On this trip Jonathan tried a repeat and got a voice saying “water” (listed on EVP page.) And here is a nice tid bit. One of our newest member to the Ghostec team, Gary, tells us that his grandfather was a doctor and some of his tools are displayed in the Pest House.

Anyone reading this is going to understand our love of cemeteries and those who do not are probably just looking. There is nothing any better than a cemetery on a nice afternoon.
